Final Post

I have fnished all the lessons in 23thinsgs. Some of the lessons I had problems and needed help but I continued to the end . My favorite lessons were shelfari and facebook. I plan to continue to add to my bookshelf on shelfari.

Week 15

I completed lesson on Wikis. It was interesting!

Slide From Coldwater Library

I finally put together a slide show. I got help from the technology assistant at SWKLS. This would be very helpful when doing presentations.

Week Fourteen

I set up an account with shelfari. I put several books on my shelf. This is a good way to have a book discussion.

Screencasting

I tried to the screencasting but I couldn't get it to work on my computer. This would be very helpful to use in the library to explain how to use things etc. for patrons.

Week Ten

I downloaded a video on stamping to my blog. I would like to learn how to stamp.

Week Nine

I have an account with MSN. I use it to communicate with the branch librarian. it is a great way to communicate with using a phone.

Cloud Computing

I did look at some of the options for cloud computing . I set up a goodge calender for myself. I wasn't able to find a partner to work on a project.

Twitter

I opened a twitter account. I found people to follow from the suggestions given in the assignment. I choose to follow librarians. This is an excellent way to keep up with people socially and also with other librarians.

Catching Up Again!

I have been busy and am catching up again. I just finished the lesson on RSS feeds. I have subscribed to Bloglines. I enjoy getting the new headlines and also the weather.

Catching Up

I just finished the online meeting for lesson three. I have attended several online meetings so some of the information was a review. I listened to the webinar on the lluminar interface. It was interesting even though our library is not using this feature. I think online meetings are a great time and money saver for small libraries.

What I Am Learning

I have signed up with Face book. I think it will be helpful to keep up with librarians and also friends. I hope that I will be able to help my patrons when they have questions about social networking sites. As a librarian I believe it is very important for me to be informed about the latest features of technology

Hello! It's been a busy week at Coldwater Library. Our library is a one person library. I have learned to multi task. Some days it's hard because there are things I want to do but just don't have the time. The library is closed on Monday for Martin Luther King Day. I will return on Tuesday eager to learn more on 23 Things
